Strain Snapshot: Kong
Strain: Kong
Category: Indica-leaning Hybrid
Genetics: White Russian x Motavation
One of the signature traits growers expect from any indica-dominant hybrid is dense flowers and short height. So what do you do when your indica plant produces heavy buds, but also grows big and tall? You name it Kong.
This larger than life hybrid lives up to its name by producing prolific plants that ripen into potent and fragrant flowers. The Kong cross consists of the Dutch classic, White Russian, and the rare indica, Motavation. This distinctive parentage means the Kong strain ultimately owes its origins to many of Amsterdam’s most esteemed genetics, including White Widow, AK-47, Sensi Star, Afghani, and Skunk.
Given its rich genetic history, patients shouldn’t be surprised to find Kong coated in trichomes that cover its colossal colas. Its aroma exhibits hints of sweetness, along with fruity and floral notes that nearly conceal the subtle sourness from its skunk ancestry. The flavor matches its fragrance and is followed by powerful effects, prized by patients for promoting relaxation. Kong’s cerebral effects are clear and comfortable, although the restful results of its indica-leaning profile may make it more popular for pain relief and anxiety than stimulating creativity.
Kong is a huge strain, both literally and figuratively, so we’re happy to offer this exquisite indica-leaning hybrid as our PSC Gram of the Month for September at SWC Tempe. If you haven’t joined the PSC Program yet, just ask at the counter and our staff will be happy to sign you up.
